Summer EATS!

What is on your menu this weekend? Summer is a great time to explore your produce section a little bit longer or spend a morning at your local market scooping up fresh fruits and veggies.

I particularly love summer for the blueberries, strawberries, corn and juicy tomatoes. YUM!

Yesterday I was making up my grocery list and needed "summer feasting" inspiration. So, I turned to good ole' Google and Pinterest for some ideas. Its never good to do this while hungry!

Here are some ideas that will likely find their way to our dinner table this week:

SUMMER SANDWICHES...so yummy, especially when you toast your bread or bun on the bbq for that added crunch. This is going to be our dinner tonight (seems like a good Friday night dinns) with a side salad and maybe some roasted fingerling potatoes. My mouth is watering!

BLT with Avacado and Pink Chilli Mayo

Check out these other sammies...can you say Saturday afternoon lunch at the lake with a cold bevvie? Yes please!

Carmelized Onion and Chicken with Fontina Cheese Panini

Beef Tenderloin with Herb Mayo

ooooh and this...it looks like a sandwich but fork and knife required.

looks easy to do...tomato, mozza, asparagus and some sort of balsamic reduction...get in my mouth!

Then there is the summer salad. Honestly, I have to admit that throughout the winter, my salads are pretty lame. Its either an easy caesar salad or simple greens with a balsamic vinaigrette. However, with the temperatures rising, my mouth is watering for crisp, fresh and different salads. Check these out:

Dont forget a nice pasta...
