Kids Wall love

I decided this week that my big guy's room needed a little wall love. It seems as though every time he comes home from preschool he has some form of art in his hand. He proudly waves it in the air for me to see and it is important for him that we hang it up on his wall or the fridge as soon as we get home which makes my heart smile.

This got me thinking...instead of randomly taping up his art on his walls, lets display some of it on shelves in his bedroom where we can switch them up now and then. These shelves will also be a way to fill up an empty wall in his room.

So, on a very rainy day here in Ottawa this week we decided to paint!!

I bought these IKEA LACK shelves for the walls and Mr. Fix-it hung them up.

This is the empty wall before

VOILA!... an easy, inexpensive way to fill a wall in a room that is fresh.fabulous.sophisticated and a great way to display your little one's beautiful creations!
Remember the pain chit art?...there it is.

And...this is what it looked like about five minutes after I added Carter's art and took the photo. He wanted to fill the shelves with ALL his latest art ;)

Happy weekend everyone. Keep it Beautiful.

BTW...I'm linking this blog to Serenity Now. Check it out, its a great blog.

  1. Cute! Love the handprint and footprint picture you've got on the shelf. I'd love it if you'd share at Off the Hook!
