After the Tour

Hi everyone.  I usually post a recipe on Wednesdays for Wednesday Yummies but I wanted to tell you all about the Glebe House Tour last weekend.  Stay tuned next Wednesday for a treat! I met a great gal this summer up at the cottage who has a blog all about baking! mmmm. I'll tell you all about it next Wednesday :)

Well, the House Tour is over and was a success! The weather in Ottawa was beauty, the crowds were plentiful and I was thrilled with how the house looked.

Mr. Fix-it took the boys up to the cottage while I stayed in the city with our baby girl to get the final touches done on the house.  I have to tell you all how amazing Mr. Fix-it has been this summer. Every night in the summer that he wasn't at the cottage, he was working on the house to get it ready for the Tour.  From stripping and painting the porch, to touching up paint in the house, to moving furniture...he worked his tail off. I really couldn't have done it without him. Thanks babe!  It may look pretty but the bones are all him.

There were beautiful homes on the House Tour. It's a great opportunity to get ideas for your own homes and see all different styles of décor. Fab.

I'm going to update the photos of our home under "OUR HOME" but here's a sneak peak on the latest and what the folks on the Tour saw.  If you had tickets for the Tour, I hope you enjoyed it and were inspired to tackle a few projects of your own in your home.

All the flower arrangements were donated by Bloomfields Flowers in the Glebe.

That store is heaven and the staff are so talented.  Thank you for making my dining room table look gorg.

I also want to thank my girlfriend Diane who was our house rep.  Not only is she a great friend but a really awesome real estate agent (I'm totally plugging her ;)  Honestly, if you need your house sold or looking to buy...she and her business partner Jenny are your gals.  Check them out....http://dianeandjen.com/

Now that the Tour is over Mr. Fix-it gets to have a little break ;)  I'm focusing on doing some design work with a few new clients and of course blogging to you all.  I can't stay away too long from a good reno or DIY project ;)

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in my design services.

Talk to you Friday.

Keep it Beautiful.
